This shoe, like all Carmina products, is carefully crafted by skilled artisans using the same techniques conceived by Charles Goodyear in 1869.
For this model, we have chosen the Simpson last, one of our best-sellers. Simpson has a slim semi-square toe last with an elongated and narrow appearance, making it ideal for elegant and dressy models. Simpson is one of our narrowest lasts, so we recommend sizing up at least half a size for this last.
SIMPSON
Simpson is the sister last of the Rain, and one of the most popular lasts. This last was conceived as a fashionable last. However, it was designed to be a timeless last that did not have excessive features. It has an elongated forepart and a fine squared-off toe, and fitting is slightly narrower at the toe area when compared to the Rain. This last is usually the best choice for more elegant models, and it is often manufactured with a plain leather sole. Compared to our other lasts, we describe it as a narrow last in E width. Clients usually tend to go up half a size in comparison to their usual Carmina size.

Vogue Suede
Our women’s suede shoes are usually manufactured in Vogue suede. We also use this suede for dressier men’s styles such as opera pumps. This suede is thinner to make sure the shoes can be broken in easily although it is very durable too if used with care.

Tramuntana
The tramuntana sole is perfect for military style boots, for example. In addition, they are more appropriate for more severe climates where there may be some snow on the sidewalks.
